WHAT IF...? (2021) Marvel/Disney+ Superhero Series' Trailer and Everything You Need To Know

What If...? is an upcoming animated American web television series based on the Marvel Comics series of the same name. It is the fourth television series of Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. 

This mind warping series will get you asking, "What If... Captain America and Bucky Had Both Survived World War II?" "What If Loki Found Thor's Hammer First? "What if the Hulk had reverted to Bruce Banner when he crashed on Sakaar?" and "What If Thanos Joined the Avengers?" Batshit crazy right? I know. 

The series is produced by Marvel Studios and will be released on Disney+. The first season will consist of ten episodes and premiere in the Summer of 2021. The second season was announced in December 2019. Major Marvel/Avengers characters like Jeffrey Wright (Uatu/The Watcher, Michael B. Jordan (Erik Stevens), Sebastián Stan (Bucky Barnes), Josh Brolin (Thanos), Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Chadwick Boseman (T'Challa), and so many others will be reprising their roles from the movies.

".... Glorious!" - Loki

Loki is an upcoming American streaming television miniseries created for Disney+ by Michael Waldron, based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. It is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), sharing continuity with the films of the franchise.


The series takes place after the events of the film Avengers: Endgame (2019), in which an alternate version of Loki (Tom Hiddleston) created a new timeline. Loki is produced by Marvel Studios, with Waldron serving as head writer and Kate Herron directing. The official premise reads, "After stealing the Tesseract during the events of Avengers: Endgame (2019), Loki uses it to travel through time and alter human history and ends up trapped in his own crime thriller" 


Loki is expected to be released in May 2021, and will consist of six episodes. It will be part of Phase Four of the MCU. Watch the new trailer below:

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is an upcoming American mini-series based on the Marvel Comics characters Sam Wilson (Falcon) and Bucky Barnes (Winter Soldier). It is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), sharing continuity with the films of the franchise. The events of the series take place after the film Avengers: Endgame (2019).


The series introduces Sam Wilson (Falcon) who, after being handed the mantle of Captain America at the end of Avengers: Endgame (2019) teams up with Bucky Barnes (The Winter Soldier) in a worldwide adventure that puts their abilities to the test.


The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is scheduled to premiere on March 19, 2021, and will consist of six episodes. It will be part of Phase Four of the MCU. Watch the new trailer below:

WARNER BROS' LATEST UPDATES ON MORTAL KOMBAT, THE MATRIX 4, GODZILLA vs KONG, and THE MANY SAINTS OF NEWARK



Film Studio, Warner Bros made some announcements yesterday about its upcoming projects including films such as: Mortal Kombat, Matrix 4, Godzilla vs Kong, and The Many Saints of Newark. The press statement revealed details and updates concerning those movies as well as concept posters/logos for them. Some release dates has been rescheduled as a result of the Covid-19. 
“We’re living in unprecedented times which call for creative solutions, including this new initiative for the Warner Bros. Pictures Group," said Ann Sarnoff, Chair and CEO, Warner Media Studios and Networks Group, as part of the announcement. "No one wants films back on the big screen more than we do. We know new content is the lifeblood of theatrical exhibition, but we have to balance this with the reality that most theaters in the U.S. will likely operate at reduced capacity throughout 2021. With this unique one-year plan, we can support our partners in exhibition with a steady pipeline of world-class films, while also giving moviegoers who may not have access to theaters or aren’t quite ready to go back to the movies the chance to see our amazing 2021 films. We see it as a win-win for film lovers and exhibitors, and we’re extremely grateful to our filmmaking partners for working with us on this innovative response to these circumstances."

I'll be revealing the full details of each movie below:
1. MORTAL KOMBAT 


 
The upcoming American martial arts fantasy action film directed by Simon McQuoid from a screenplay by Greg Russo and Dave Callaham will not be releasing on January 15, 2021 as pre-scheduled. The film, which is a reboot of the Mortal Kombat film series based on the video game of the same title has been postponed till further notice. It's synopsis reads: Mortal Kombat is a mysterious, intergalactic tournament of ancient martial arts. Shaolin Monk, Liu Kang, from Earth, gets invited as a competitor.

2. GODZILLA vs KONG


 
Godzilla vs. Kong is an upcoming American monster film directed by Adam Wingard. A sequel to Godzilla: King of the Monsters and Kong: Skull Island, it is the fourth film in Legendary's Monster-Verse. It's synopsis by Legendary and Warner Bros reads: In a time when monsters walk the Earth, humanity's fight for its future sets Godzilla and Kong on a collision course that will see the two most powerful forces of nature on the planet collide in a spectacular battle for the ages. As Monarch embarks on a perilous mission into uncharted terrain and unearths clues to the Titans' origins, a human conspiracy threatens to wipe the creatures, both good and bad, from the face of the earth forever. It is scheduled to be released in theaters and HBO Max simultaneously on May 21, 2021.

3. THE MATRIX 4
 

The Matrix 4 is an upcoming American science fiction action film and the fourth installment in The Matrix franchise. Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss, Jada Pinkett Smith, Lambert Wilson and Daniel Bernhardt reprise their roles from previous films in the series. It is set to be theatrically released on December 22, 2021. 

4. THE MANY SAINTS OF NEWARK 


 The Many Saints of Newark is an upcoming American crime drama film directed by Alan Taylor and written by David Chase and Lawrence Konner as a prequel to Chase's HBO crime drama series The Sopranos. It is set in the 1960s and 1970s in Newark, New Jersey, using the 1967 riots in the city as a backdrop for tensions between the Italian-American and African-American communities. It is a look at the formative years of New Jersey gangster, Tony Soprano. It's release date is March 12, 2021.
