Twitter erupted on Monday when The Suicide Squad director: James Gunn decided to interact with the blockbuster' fans in an interesting and informative session on the popular app. Most of the questions centered on his current quarantine, the upcoming star-studded film, writing and direction, crew, and so on. An handler asked Gunn if he ever feels overwhelmed with the task of managing and directing each and every cast, especially with the inclusion of some new faces like John Cena's Peacemaker in new HBO spin-off series.
One of the other questions thrown at him includes the question of if he has started producing Guardians Of The Galaxy yet or if there's any kind of planning in the works and Gunn replied by saying that the script has been written and most of the production heads have been hired so, filming could start sooner than expected. The question of Dave Bautista coming back was also put across to Gunn who sarcastically and rhetorically answered, "Would I do a Guardians movie without Dave Bautista?" Dave Bautista plays Drax the Destroyer in Marvel Cinematic Universe's Guardians of the Galaxy. He has appeared in his character in first two films of the franchise and was last seen as Drax in MCU's Avengers: Infinity War.
The interactive session concluded with another famous director, James Mangold (Logan) stressing that a director's script is never done and if a script isn't compelling enough, then that is the hardest part because the work has hardly started; a statement which James Gunn "100% agree" on.
The DC Extended Universe sequel, which is officially titled The Suicide Squad, is currently scheduled for release on 6th August, 2021.
